Candy time and news on a merged challenge blog

There is some exciting and sad news - Tilda and Co / Sarah Kay Challenge blogs are no more , unfortunatley there has had to be some changes. Donna needed to merge both challenge blogs together to free up some time for herself. The good news is that there is a brand new challenge blog Magnolia vs Stampavie! For all the info please check out the new blog. The 1st challenge is on Sunday. Donna has given some fab blog candy for each DT member to give away which she has kindly donated from her craft store Crafty Krafts.

Double Award - Whiff of Joy & Cute Card Thursday

Managed to combine two challenges again this week . The theme this week on WOJ is a to use the colours red and green and on Cute Card the theme is Cheers. I went straight for my new Charlie 007 stamp as I thought that this would fit right in.

The papers are DCWV christmas stack and the image is WOJ. This is coloured in using my brush marker pens and my aquabrush. Sentiment has been created on my pc and the tree has been made using my quickutz die. TFL x

Another award

Another Double Challenge

I must be getting good at this as I've managed to do one card for two challenges. The theme this week on Stamp Something is birds and on Friday Sketchers is a lovely sketch by Claudia Rosa.

Cute Card Thursday - Challenge 33

Today Wasn't A Bad Day After All

Well if I'm totally honest I was really dreading today. I know that it's my 40th birthday today but it's also my first birthday without my mum being here. My mum passed away December last year after a short battle from cancer (she was only 63). But she wasn't only my mum, she was also my best friend. But thankfully my DH booked two days off work and has been a tower of strength for me. Also my three children were sooo excited to see balloons, cards and presents everywhere that really lifted my spirits. I thought I'd have a quite day but it's been quite busy, what with people ringing or texting me and taking the kids to Mcdonalds, doing a bit of retail therapy, the day has flown by (t.g.).

This week on Whiff of Joy is a lovely sketch by Heather. I was sooo excited to receive my WOJ Melinda Blowing Kisses stamp that I received from Frances's blog candy that I had to use this. I'm fairly new to stamping and I was really impressed at how easy it was to stamp up and the lines are so clear. This is the sketch that you had to follow this week

Papertake Weekly - 2 Challenges To Choose From

This week on Papertake Weekly you have 2 challenges to choose from. It was PTW's 1st birthday on the 1st of October so this week we have a choice of 2 challenges Firsts - first birthday, Christmas, anniversary etc OR No Stamping! - embellishments, papers, die cuts, paper folding, stitching, encaustic, doodling? etc etc. I choose the 1st christmas one. Hope you like it :)

For this card I used DCWV christmas stack papers, the image is Rachelle Anne Miller stamp and then coloured in with my brush marker pens. Scalloped circles' are nestabilities and the larger one is then embossed. Both are also chalked. The small circle sentiment is again created on my pc. The larger snowflake is a quickutz die and the smaller one is a brad.
