Double Challenge - Friday Sketchers & Cute Card Thursday

This week on Friday Sketchers is a lovely one from Mumur and on Cute Card Thursday theme for the challenge is Lots of sparkle! You can add bling, glitter, baubles, stickles, anything that makes your card sparkle! I've made this card for the other twin girl. Hope she likes it.

For this card I used the scrummy papers from DCWV Blossoms & Butterflies stack, the fairy image is from Pollycraft and then coloured in with my brush markers. The sentiment is created from my pc and the flowers and butterfly I made up myself. The ribbon is from Dovecraft. Unfortunately you can't really see the glitter in the papers, fairy wings and the wand, but it is there honestly.

Whiff Of Joy Stamps Guest Designer Call

Whiff Of Joy is looking for a guest deginer for the next two months and I thought that I'll give it a try. Although I looked on some other blogs and there are so many very talented ladies joining in, I don’t think I'll be very lucky. But as the saying goes youv'e got to be in it to win it! You have a wide choice of sketches from Katharina to choose from. I spent ages trying to decide which sketch to go for as I love all the layouts. I finally came up with the sketch below. At the moment I've only got one stamp from Whiff Of Joy but I've given my DH strict instructions to get me some for my birthday :) If you are not familiar with Whiff Of Joy Stamps go over there and have a look at the beautiful stamps that are available.

And this is what I've came up with

The snowflake background is from DCWV christmas stack, other papers are from my stash. The image is Charlie from Whiff Of Joy and then coloured in with my Dovecraft brush marker pens. The large snowflake is made up using my quickutz die and the snowflake brads are from Papermania. The hohoho chipboard embellishment is also from my stash. I then glittered in the snowman and snowflake to give it a shimmery effect.

Blog Candy Time

Christine over on Craftling's Cosy Corner has fabulous candy to give away. She is celebrating 10,000 hits in just 4 months and also to talk up her campaign against word verification on blog comments. I have to say that I'm with her on this as it frustrates me at times when I try to leave a comment on a blog but I can't work out the letters. I didn't realise until tonight that I had word verification on but I have now turned it off. To find out more about this campaign and get a full listing of the candy please visit Christines' blog.
