Christine over on Craftling's Cosy Corner has fabulous candy to give away. She is celebrating 10,000 hits in just 4 months and also to talk up her campaign against word verification on blog comments. I have to say that I'm with her on this as it frustrates me at times when I try to leave a comment on a blog but I can't work out the letters. I didn't realise until tonight that I had word verification on but I have now turned it off. To find out more about this campaign and get a full listing of the candy please visit Christines' blog.
I've turned my word thingy off on my 'grown up' blog, but left it on on my other blogs, which I know I read by children- when I didn't have it switched on on those I actually got pornographic spam left and I can't risk that!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi, Michele! :o)
ReplyDeleteThis is perfect! Thank you for joining in with my 'blog candy against word verification' campaign. You have FIVE entries in the draw. Best wishes with that! :o)
As Helena says, though, you can get the occasional spam comment, and some may not be very savoury, so I would encourage you to protect your blog from that by switching ON Comment Moderation. This will stop the occasional spam comment from getting through, without causing any problems for visitors to your blog.
Your choice, of course! ;o)
Take care and God bless..
Chris xx
