These are the ingredients that you have to include in your creation

Ingredients
2 Patterned papers

Another Fab Award

I've received this lovely award from the very talented Tara!!!. Thank you sooo much for passing this award onto me Tara.

The rules to accepting my award are as follows:

A) first list 10 honest things about yourself - and make it interesting, even if you have to dig deep!
B) Pass the award on to 7 bloggers that you feel embody the spirit of the Honest Scrap.

Okay...so the 10 HONEST things about me are:

1. I can be really impatient

2. I love chinese food

3. I was on the Big Breakfast (UK tv programme) one morning with Lily Savage Line Dancing

4. In the 80's I was obsessed with Madness, the group not my mind, lol

5. I hate window shopping. I only go if I have something specific in mind, but if it's craft related then it doesn't count, lol.

6. I love crisps and chocolate

7. I really wish that I could sing. Sometimes I think I can, but then I see the look on DH's face then I realise I can't, lol.

8. I'm allergic to fruit. If I eat kiwis' & melons' my tongue swells up and gets really itchy. Also if it touches my lips I end up looking like Mike Jagger, lol.

9. I can be quite messy, which really annoys my DH at times.

10. I wish that I never gave up my ballet lessons for batman when I was younger, as I could have been the next Darcy Bussell (well actually before her but you know what I mean, lol)

I hope this was interesting enough, but I did try to dig deep, lol!!!!

Here are the 7 bloggers that I would like to pass this on to Donna, Linda, Rina, Kim, Rach, Joey and Debby

BasicGrey Challenge - Chipboard

Hi there, hope you all had a fantastic weekend. This week on BasicGrey Challenge the theme is "Chipboard". But if you don't have any chipboard you can do a bit of recycling by using thick cardboard instead. Simply cut some shapes from it, decorate it how you please.

This is the card that I came up with. I used the same sketch as last weeks on BasicGrey. The papers I used are BasicGrey Ambrosia and the heart shape is a quickutz die which I cut outtwice, once with thick cardboard and again with BasicGrey paper. The scroll background and sentiment I've created on my pc. I'm not quite happy with this card as there's no pretty flowers or ribbon. I wanted to make a masculine card and I don't think flowers would go very well, lol. Oh well it's done now.

A Favour To Ask - It Only Takes A Minute (Breast Cancer)

I got this in an email just now from a friend of mine and I thought instead of sending it to ten people why not post it on my site where more people will see this. I'm sure that everyone who reads this has been affected one way or another by this horrible illness, including me. This is what the email said .........

A favour to ask, it only takes a minute....
* I * 6 * Y Please tell ten friends to tell ten today! The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click on their site daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman. It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on 'donating a mammogram' for free (pink window in the middle). This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate mammogram in exchange for advertising. Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know. http://www.thebreastcancersite.com/
Thank You

Stamp Something & Roses on Paper Challenges

Hope you all had a good start to 2009. We stayed in on New Year's Eve (with 3 little ones it was easier just to stay in). We tucked the kids in bed at 8.00pm and then opened up a bottle of wine and some snacks and watched a film, then saw the New Year in and went to bed.

This week on Stamp Something the theme is Something New - it can be made with new products(maybe some goodies you received under the tree!!) it can be using a new technique or something for a new occasion (baby, house, job.....) I've also found a new challenge site called Roses on Paper and there's a lovely sketch to follow, so I thought that I'd give this one a try to.

So this is the card that I came up with.

Almost everything on this card is new, the papers, the Tilda image, the pens I coloured the image with and the nesties (I must have been a very good girl, lol). The papers I used are the yummy Basic Grey Eva and the image is Tilda. I've coloured her in with my new fantastic Promarker pens and did the highlights with my white inkksential pen. The hearts have been cut out using my quickutz dies and then coloured them in with my promarker pens. I then embossed them with clear powder to give them a shiny finish. I also did the same with the sentiment and then cut out using my new nestie. The ribbon and heart gems are from my stash. TFL x

The Sugar Bowl Challenge #1

This is a brand new challenge blog called The Sugar Bowl that is starting today. The first challenge is a fabulous sketch by Tiets. The DT have come up with some gorgeous ideas to inspire you, so follow the link to have a look.

There is also a prize this week and it's three sets of Letraset promarkers.....that's 30 pens...

Here is my card that I made following Tiets fabulous sketch. Unfortunatley this is the only stamp I have of Sugar Nellie, so I'll have to keep using this one until I get some more. I have coloured her in using my new promarker pens and added highlights with my white inkssentials pen. The papers I used are a cocktail of Basic Grey, Dovecraft and Papermania. The sentiment has been printed from my pc and then cut out using the smallest nestie. I then chalked round the edges with black to soften it a little. The flowers I made myself by using my cuttlebug asterix dies, then coloured them in using my promarker pens and then embossed them with clear powder. TFL x
