Fancy A Challenge - Sketch #37

The lovely Katharina has been my saviour today as she is doing a little sketch challenge over on her blog. And one lucky crafter will win the really cute little mouse stamp that is from the party animals range. I think I went a bit mad with the nestabilities because after I loaded the photo up on my computer I can't really see the sketch anymore, oh well. The image is Melinda holding her heart from WOJ and I coloured her in using my promarkers and brush marker pens. I did the white highlights with my inkksentials pen. The sentiment is from my pc and the heart brads are from papermania. Oh and the papers are Dovecraft (I think)

Holiday Sketch Challenge

Do you have some time to make a card this week? Since most of the challenge blogs have a break, Claudia thought she would show you a sketch you could use if you feel inspired by it. If you like, you can post your card with link to her site. Lets have some fun!!!
I was desperate to try out my new magnolia stamps and I used giggling Tilda for this one. I coloured her in using my promarker pens and did the highlights with my white inkssentials pen. I also used my new nestabilities and the flowers I made up using my new cuttlebug asterix die cut. The papers I used are Basic Grey Eva and the sentiment is from my pc. TFL x

Sketch Saturday - Your Choice

Yay there's a challenge this week at Sketch Saturday. I was starting to get withdrawal symptons from not doing challenges, lol. Well anyway the challenge this week is 'Your Choice and you can choose any sketch from Sketch Saturday over the past year. So I choose this one

And this is the card that I came up with following the sketch

The papers I used are from Fancy Pants Splendid range and the image is from Dottie's World. I've coloured in Dottie and George using a mixture of Promarkers, Dual Brush pens, Distress Inks and also my aquabrush. The sentiment I created on my pc and added a heart brad from Papermania. TFL x

Dottie's World Wishing You Well

Well this is my last week as guest designer for Dottie's World and I had a great time. The week's just flew by and I'm going to miss it. Thank you once again everyone at Dottie's World for choosing me, it was a great honour to work alongside you for the month of December. Now onto this week's challenge which is 'Wishing You Well'.

This week the challenge is in the theme; After all the over indulgence you've most likely had over Christmas ( a few poorly tummies and heads I guess?) The theme this week is Get Well Soon .You don't have to use those words, but it has to be aimed at cheering someone up or wishing them well . If you don't know anyone who's poorly your creation could be wishing them well in their new job or a new home...basically, lots of positive vibes in this card please AND of course a Charmed Download. Nice and easy?

As some of you know that my aunt is going into hospital to remove a cancerous lump on her breast New Years Eve and I wanted to make a card for her, letting her know that I'm thinking of her. So this is the card that I came up with.

The papers I used are Basic Grey - Eva and the image is Dottie. I'ved coloured her in using my new Promarkers, brush marker pens and aquabrush. The flowers I made up using my new Cuttlebug Asterix die cut. The sentiment has been created on my pc. TFL x

I can't believe that it's my 3rd week as guest designer for Dottie's World, it's going so quickly and I'm still really enjoying it. This week it's Nicola's turn to set the challenge :

Well....Its nearly upon us, Christmas 2008! What a year it has been, the good, the bad and the Ugly!!! My challenge this week is going for the end of our festive juices. RED,GREEN AND GOLD....Of course it doesnt have to be festive, it can be any card or thing you like, aslong as you use a download from Charmed Cards and Crafts.

Well I still had to make a card for my DH, so this is the card that I came up with.

The papers I used are DCWV Christmas Stack and the image is Dottie from the Christmas Bundle which you can download from Charmed Cards and Crafts. I coloured in Dottie using my brush marker pens and aquabrush. For the star and baubles, I used gold embossing powder to give it a bit of texture and sparkle. I cut out the tinsel that Dottie is holding and used some fibres which I had in mystash. The sentiment I used is also from the Dottie Christmas Bundle. The gems and ribbon are from my stash. TFL x

Secret Crafter Challenge 11

This week on Secret Crafter is a gorgeous sketch by one of my blogging buddies Donna. This is the sketch that you have to follow

One of my friends asked me if I could make a special birthday card for her sister, who is in hospital at the moment as she had a heart transplant a few weeks ago. So I hope she likes it. Oh no I don't believe it, I've just realised that the card that I made for her is Melinda holding a heart, I hope she has a good sense of humour, oops.

The papers I've used are DCWV Christmas Stack and the images are from WOJ. I tried out the masking technique using a post-it-note and I like the way it turned out. I've coloured in Melinda using my brush marker pens and aquabrush. The sentiment is from my pc and the ribbon and gems are from my stash. TFL x

A Lovely Award

Sorry no cards again today. Loads of things have been going on here at the moment with loads of family over from England for my beautiful mum's 1st anniversary. Then yesterday Aidan who is 3, had his playschool play on (he was a cow) but he refused to take part in it and then today my eldest son Liam had his school play today. Oh I was the proudest mum in the world as he had the main part. My arms are killing me now from holding the camcorder up for half an hour lol. But I should be back to business in the next few days.

Also today I've received this lovely award from two lovely blogging friends Lynsey & Chris. Thank you soooo much ladies for this, it really made my day.

"The rules are to give it to five others, who shall give it to five others.. You shall link the one you got it from, and also the ones you give it to:) And let them know. And there is more... You have to write down five things you are addicted to...."

Ok so here are the 5 things that I'm addicted to

1. Cardmaking

2. Blogging

3. Crisps & chocolates

4. Dancing programes like Strictly Come Dancing & Desperate Housewives

5. Craft shopping

Ok now the 5 people that I have to pass on are Adele, Debby, Suzanne, Sharon & Louise.

Dottie's World - Tag Challenge

This is my second week as guest designer on Dotties World and I'm really having a great time. The challenge this week is TAG's.

The Tag doesn't have to be for Christmas and if you really wanted to make a card it could be the main feature on the card, you might even fancy making a tag book. As long as you use one of the Charmed downloads and have a tag as your main feature the rest is up to you.

This is what I came up with

For the tag itself I ran heavy cardstock through my bigshot using my sizzix die cut. I then ran DCWV paper through it again and glued them together. I then used another DCWV paper and cut to the right size and layered it on top. I printed one of the Dottie images from the Dotties World Christmas Downloads and then coloured it in using my brush marker pens and aquabrush. For the crown, star and wings I wanted it to sparkle a little so I used my embossing pen, embossing powders and heat gun. TFL x

Guest Designer for Dotties World

The other day I was chosen to be one of the Guest Designers for Dotties World for the month of December. You can imagine my excitement as you probably already know that I'm HUGE Dottie & George fan. Well anyway, this week it's Adele's turn turn to set the challenge over at Dottie's World. She wants us to use ribbon and/or lace and lots of texture in our creations. And here is my first EVAH card as a Guest Designer, hope you like it. Oh and why don't you pop over to Dottiesworld and join in the fun.

The papers I've used are Papermania and the image is of course Dottie from Dottiesworld. I have coloured her in using my brush marker pens and aquabrush. I've used my white Inkssentials pen for the highlights. The sentiment is also Dottiesworld and I've added a snowflake brad in the centre. The snowflakes I've punched out and then embossed them and added a gem in the middle. I'm not sure if you can see, but I've added some Making Memories Spotlight sparkle to the dots behind Dottie. I'm soooooo excited

I've literally just read an email from Louise at Dottiesworld and they want me to be a guest designer for the month of December. As you all know I'm a huge fan of Dottie & George, so I feel very honoured. This has really lifted my spirits, as today this time last year my lovely mum came home to die. So I really was dreading today, but the news I've just received has really put a smile on my face. Thank you soooo much Louise, I look forward to my next mission lol.

ABC Challenge - T is for Three's

The challenge this week on ABC is the letter T. They want you to do everything in three's bar your image. So if you use papers, there must be three different sheets. If you add flowers they want to see 3, if you add anymore it must be in multiples of 3. So here is my card. Don't fall off your chairs now because it's not Dottie but the gorgeous (ohhh I've forgotten her name) WOJ stamp.

The papers I used are DCWV christmas stack and the image is WOJ. I've coloured her in using my brush marker pens and aquabrush. The stars I cut out from one of the papers I used and glued onto thick cardstock and attached 3 star brads from papermania. TFL x

Dotties World

This week on Dotties World the challenge is that they would like to see a download, or downloads, interacting in some way with a picture of either the recipient or "something else". So it doesn't have to be a picture of a person but it must be a real photograph, and not just clipart etc.

I wanted to make a card for my aunt Kay to make her smile as she received very bad news today that she has breast cancer. They will be removing it at the end of December, but they think they've caught it in time. Well this is the card that I made for her.

The papers I've used are DCWV blossoms & butterflies. The photograph is my little girl Caitlin and the image is Dottie from Dottiesworld. I've coloured Dottie in using my brush marker pens. The sentiment is from my pc and the heart brad is from Papermania. TFL x
